Hobby Lobby Project

My two daughters love to go to Hobby Lobby. They ask to go all the time. Fortunately for them, their dance studio is in the same shopping center. 😂 We left a little early to go check it out and buy some items one of my daughters was needing to complete an art project she was working on. I have been redoing/decorating/organizing my studio and Hobby Lobby always has some cute finds. I found this on their sale aisle and thought I'd snag it since it was 75% off.

I forgot to take a picture of it before I started to tape it up to paint.
So please excuse the red tape. 😊

I used Apple Barrel's Bimini Blue matte acrylic paint and lightly dusted some fine glitter close in color for a soft sheen.

I made some cute flowers out of satin fabric, added some crystals and used my low heat glue gun to add it to the board.

I love this new addition to my art space. I am currently using it to put some of my paint brushes, pen paints, some embroidery items for quick access, since my embroidery machines are near by, and maybe a few pink starburst for motivation. 😜

Life handing out lemons .... (Made from cardboard boxes)

Hi there! This sign is fun and so cute. I did this using cardboard boxes from deliveries. I'm not sure why, but I sure do love using cardboard boxes. Maybe it's because I love the way the sides look and I love how light it is. Best of all, I love how easy it is to work with. I love it all! Well, here it is . . . Materials used: cardboard boxes, Apple Barrel acrylic paint & some glue. I know this was short and sweet but I hope you have enjoyed. Redoing Ceramic Garden Mushrooms

Hello! I have decided to redo this cute ceramic garden mushroom. It was hanging out in my front yard for a few years, but it's slowly not looking so great. Not one white spot left on any of the mushrooms. It was time for it to go. Since this piece was outside, it was subject to a lot of the outdoor elements. This means it needed a good cleaning. May I also suggest doing that outside. I didn't and yeah, I should have. 😉 Next, I wiped this down with some rubbing alcohol so that I could add a coat of gesso by Liquitex. Side note: This one bottle has definitely seen better days. 😂 For now, I have decided to just redo the top portion of the mushrooms. I could always go back and do the bottom portion if I change my mind. So for now, just the mushroom tops are being gesso-ed and prepped for paint. 😊 This is it before being sealed. Halloween Ghost - Tic Tac Toe Game

What a fun classic game - Never gets old. This cute ghost game set can travel with you, or help time pass if you are waiting for an appointment with your special ones. Because come on, who doesn't love to play tic tac toe and silently compete? 😂 Using my Glowforge laser, this cute ghost was cut and engraved on baltic birch wood. Acrylic was used for the games pieces (ghosts/pumpkins). The ghost is approximately 5.12 w x 6.5 h.
