Eeek . . . . Christmas is just around the corner . . .

and I cannot believe it. Even though it has been a long year, some parts have gone amazingly fast. Christmas is one that I feel will be here in a blink of eye. Friday we started the decorating. I am not sure how long it will take, but I'm excited about having a jump start this year.  This gives me Thanksgiving meets Christmas vibe.  I made the grateful out of baltic birch and I am not sure if I want to paint them or leave them unpainted.  Sometimes I really like the slight burn markings from the laser that the wood takes on. I may do some a few different ways and see which one(s) I take to. Materials used: baltic birch wood. I have been firing up my laser and here are some other things I have made in the past few weeks.  My daughter has loved gnomes since she was about 2 years old. I remember her not wanting to let go of a few gnomes that were in the dollar bin at Target, back in approximately 2006. So I bought them and boy did she play with them all the way up until they broke. Wh

Happy Halloween

A day late but still, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I used my laser to make this Addams Family Porch sign that I got from a blog, agirlandagluegun.com (click  here ). Check her out - her tutorial includes a free cut file!  Here is the side profile. I'm not sure if you can see the engraving. I used 1/8" MDF and this one measures approx. 11.5 x 16. I used my passthrough on my Glowforge to do this size. I love that I have the option to make bigger projects when I want. Other materials I used was primer, acrylic paint,  and some acrylic glitter paint. I love the way it turned out and can't wait to use it again next year . . . or I might just leave it up in my studio. 😳😂 There are many seasons going on in my space right now, and it drives my kids crazy, so I leave it. 😂 I've been working on some Christmas items and I plan to have a post in the up coming days.
