Cornhole anyone?

I've been working on a few Father's Day gifts. Here is one, it is a desk size corn hole. Oh my gosh, it's so fun. On this project I used Baltic Birch. I did sand the board and primed it before cutting. Next time I will also paint the board before cutting. I painted the pieces with some blue paint I had on hand, used gold leaf foil around the hole opening and MasterTouch Gold paint where it is engraved. The laser file I purchased did come with the cuts for the tossers to be cut from wood, but my husband asked if I would make some fabric bag tossers. I couldn't tell him no, so I made some and they are adorable. I didn't have dried corn on hand, but my husband remembered we had popcorn seeds from the popcorn maker. - bonus that they were expired, so there was no guilt using them. 😅  This cornhole is approx. 10.75 x 8. I think it is going to be a great addition to his office.  I am working on adding a few corn holes in my shop, so ke

Happy Mother's Day!

I made these wood florals and signs for my mom & my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. All these items are made my me, although I didn't design the files, I did cut them on my Glowforge.  One mason jar is made with a clear acrylic front with metallic gold paint in the engraved areas of the jar for some added detail (but looks great without too) and the other is stained wood. Two completely different styles and yet, I think they are both lovely.  I've been trying my hand at Inkscape and was finally able to do a knock out. lol The struggle was real, but I'm happy I was able to be able to accomplish that, because now our moms have these sweet signs. Here are some additional florals I've been working on. If you are interested in an unpainted floral DIY, please visit maddiemarrs.com. You may also email me at maddiemarrs@yahoo.com if you would like to inquire about something not yet listed.  Enjoy and Happy Mother's Day to all!
