Lasering on Watercolor Paper

Using my Glowforge Laser, I was able to laser this design onto watercolor paper. I used Canson Watercolor Paper that I happen to have on hand. I'm terrible at watercoloring, but for some reason I am obsessed with it and determined to get better at it. 😆  Anyways, below you get to see just how bad I suck at it and how I tried to fix it. Enjoy. Here I lasered the svg file image onto some watercolor paper.  Here is my crappy attempt at watercoloring. 😂 It's so splotchy.  I switched to colored pencils (PrismaColor colored pencils Botanical Garden Set) for the lettering and llama, because I just couldn't any longer with the splotchiness. 😅  If you look to the side of the picture, you will see that I used some of the space for swatching. I ended up liking it and thought, maybe if I just did those designs all over that it would mask my horrible watercoloring skills.  It did!! Or I think so, at least to my satisfactory. 😁 I actually had so much fun that I may just p...

Laser Made - Easter Bunny Egg Holder Using Cardboard

HA PP Y E AS TE R!! Wishing you and yours a wonderful Easter! Here are some fun Easter Bunny egg holders made from recycled cardboard and on the laser. I played around with different mediums, but mostly ended up using watercolors. I love they way they came out. I should have taken a photo of their little tails . . . they're adorable.  I could have painted the bunnies, but I kept them the color of whatever box I was using. Saved me a lot of time.  There are 11 bunnies in all. I'm not sure why I did 11, but it works. - 😂   Some of the bunnies have the sweetest bows.  I used some super glue to put them together.  This was so much fun! I could get lost for hours listening to some of my favorite YouTubers and crafting/painting.  I hope you have a beautiful Easter and stay well! Until next time . . .   -Maddie
